My Therapeutic Approach
My counselling approach is person-centred and trauma-informed, grounded in the understanding that our life experiences deeply influence who we are. I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities to meet your unique needs, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and the Gottman Couples Counselling method. My approach is also strength-based, focusing on your abilities and resilience and believing in each person’s capacity for growth and positive change. Together, we’ll work toward the goals that mean the most to you.

Couples Counselling

In couples counselling, both partners can express their feelings, needs, and concerns. The focus is on creating a stronger, more resilient partnership where all individuals feel heard, supported, and valued.
I offer specialized support to enhance communication, resolve conflicts, and nurture intimacy. Trained in Integrative Sex Therapy and Gottman Couples Counselling, I provide practical tools and strategies to strengthen your relationship and foster greater trust, respect, and love.

EMDR Therapy
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy designed to help you work through distressing memories and past traumas. Sometimes, painful experiences feel “stuck” and can continue to affect daily life, even long after they happen. EMDR provides a way to process these memories so they lose their emotional intensity and impact.
During an EMDR session, we use a technique called bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping) to help your brain process the memory without the overwhelming emotions attached to the original experience. EMDR is particularly helpful for trauma, but it can also support those facing anxiety, depression, or other emotional struggles. This therapy can be used in both individual and couples work, empowering you to move beyond the past and cultivate resilience, opening the door to greater peace and well-being.
