Meet Rose Welsh
Your Compassionate Guide Through Life’s Twists and Turns
Hello. I’m Rose, a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), and I’m here to support you on your journey towards healing and growth. My approach to counselling is grounded in evidence-based practices and tailored to your unique needs and goals. I believe in the power of client-centered therapy, which means that you are the expert in your own life. I’ll listen attentively and empathetically, meeting you where you are and honouring your individual perspective.
In addition to a client-centered approach, I draw on techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). CBT helps us identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviours that may be holding us back, while AEDP focuses on fostering emotional healing and resilience. With this integrative approach, we’ll uncover strategies to manage difficult emotions, navigate challenging situations, and cultivate a deeper sense of self-awareness and self-compassion. Together, we’ll embark on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment, helping you to thrive and flourish in all areas of your life.

My counselling approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and a genuine partnership. I believe that building a strong foundation of trust and rapport is essential to the therapeutic process. The connection between you and your chosen counsellor is both significant and deeply personal, and I’m honoured that you’re considering me to walk alongside you on this journey. My goal is to create a non-judgmental space where we can embrace our true, imperfect selves. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts and feelings, gain valuable insights, and build resilience. I’m here to support you in overcoming challenges, fostering personal growth, and living a more fulfilling life.

Beyond the Counselling Room
I wear many hats when I am not in the counselling chair: daughter, sister, friend, animal lover, wannabe Zumba instructor, and total foodie. In my spare time, you can usually find me whipping up some baking or indulging in my not-so-guilty pleasure – binge-watching reality TV. I also love getting outside to explore British Columbia’s beauty, whether walking with a good podcast or soaking in stunning mountain views. My furry friend accompanies me on many of these adventures - I firmly believe in the therapeutic power of animals. Spending time with family and friends is what really fills my cup. Whether we share laughter over a meal or simply enjoy each other’s company, those moments truly make life special. I can’t wait to welcome you into my virtual counselling space and share in your journey. Let’s navigate life’s ups and downs together, with empathy, understanding, and maybe a little Zumba-inspired energy thrown in for good measure!
